Ancistrocerus trifasciatus (Müller, 1776), Søborg, Denmark, 29 May 2016 Keyed as follows, using Archer, 2014, The Vespoid Wasps of the British Isles: 1. Posterior and lateral faces of the propodeum with surface structure not smooth 2. Surface of second gastral sternite slighly convex posterior to ridged furrow. Ridges in furrow >2 times longer than distance between them. 5. Weakly convex surface of 2nd gastral sternum merges gradually into furrow. 6. Yellow band or spot on each of the anterior four gastral segments. First gastral tergite more than half as long as wide. |
