English: Ancient field boundary The redundant field boundary here was marked by a change of ground level and e few remnants of a hedge. This old stump of an ash tree still has living branches and large pieces of the tree were cut off and allowed to decay on the spot: good for providing food such as larvae to feed birds, including woodpeckers. |
