| Description |
English: Ancient Information Centre? One of many cup and ring marks on Weetwood Moor. A suggestion is that these circles, cups and lines showed the direction and distance to another important landmark - see 1248664. The radial line extending from this ring-pattern is interestingly-curved at the end - the general direction is towards Wooler, where there is an ancient fort and Green Castle (NT9827), and beyond to a group of cairns (NT9625 and NT9626). |
