Velero de la clase AAÑO: 1911ESLORA: 54,60 mOFICIALES: 16FRANCOBORDO: 1,45 mTRIPULANTES: 48MANGA: 7,45 mTOTAL: 64CALADO: 3,85 m. El "Europa" es un velero holandés de clase A de 54 metros de eslora. Fue construido en 1911 y tiene su base en La Haya. Todos los años pasa el invierno recorriendo la costa de la Antártida; en verano es un clásico de la Tall Ships Races. Desde 1994 ha participado en carreras de grandes veleros por todo el mundo: Europa, Corea del Sur, Japón, Estados Unidos y Canadá. Aunque no es el barco más grande de la flota, el “Europa” es muy apreciado por la atmósfera a bordo y su aspecto de velero de época. Las personas que lo visitan tienen la impresión de estar en un barco de vela de una época olvidada. |
