Le vaste complexe situé à l'ouest de l'agglomération montcellienne, l'un des plus importants d'Europe consacré au traitement du minerai brut, a cessé de fonctionner à l'automne 99.

La ligne électrique aérienne est déposée mais pas tous les pylones qui la portaient. D'où ces poteaux intégralement rouillés dignes d'une installation tramway, datant de 1925. Garnis d'isolateurs en verre perdus dans le vide, faute de conducteur à isoler...
