Description
English: Exposed to Wind and Weather 9,000 Osram power LEDs transform the wind power plant in Fröttmaning near Munich into the world‘s biggest revolving Christmas star throughout Advent. Over 400 meters of cable are fastened to the rotor blades. The electricity for the lights is generated by the wind turbine itself: The installation provides its own power, emission-free.
Deutsch: Bei Wind und Wetter 9.000 LEDs der Firma Osram machen die Windkraftanlage in Fröttmaning bei München ab dem ersten Advent zum größten rotierenden Weihnachtstern der Welt. Über 400 Meter Kabel werden auf den Rotorblättern befestigt. Der Strom, der die Lichtpunkte zum Leuchten bringt, kommt direkt aus dem Windrad, das heißt die Installation versorgt sich selbst – emissionsfrei.
