| Description | We got off the boat at one of the stops closest to a spot where we would get a taxi, and though the exit was nearly a good kilometer away, this was probably the closest point. After getting off, I spotted this unusually long dragon boat by the lakeside with a beautiful dragon head to die for! Wood carving of the dragon head is a traditional skill and and art in itself. Now this is somewhat what I'd imagined dragon boats to be. We are now in the Xixi Wetlands Reserve in Hangzhou, China and are heading towards the exit. Detailed notes about the reserve appear in previous captions, earlier in this album. (Hangzhou, China, May 2017) |
