| Description |
English: Park & ride buses in use at the 2010 Cereals Farming show near Chrishall Grange, Cambridgeshire. A park and ride service was introduced this year to overcome traffic jams that occur when 2,500 visitors converge on a site surrounded by narrow country lanes. Buses and coaches ferried people in from three satellite car parks. Temporary track-ways had been laid at the show ground site to enable drop off and pick up points to be established and to guard against wet weather disrupting access which is exactly what happened as heavy rain on the first afternoon turned the site into a quagmire. Presumably requiring a large number of private hire buses, nearest the camera is a Talisman Coaches of Colchester vehicle (reg. L959 WGK) (see this image), while other operators present appear to include Network Colchester, Stephensons, Blue Triangle & Ensignbus. |
