Description

U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Nov. 8, 2012) An aircraft launch and recovery officer assigned to Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) gives the signal to launch Lt. Joe Krukar in an F/A-18C Hornet from the Rampagers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 83. Dwight D. Eisenhower is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
