An incomplete groat of a henry
Description
English: A broken silver half groat of Henry VII 1485-1509.

The obverse depicts a forward facing bust wearing a two-arched, jewelled crown. The initial mark and much of the legend have been worn away but HENRI... still remains.

The reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each quarter. There are two lines to the legend but the outer legend has been worn away. The inner legend reads CIVI/TAS/CAN... referring to the mint at Canterbury.
