An incomplete and worn silver 11th-century medieval penny of William I.
Description
English: An incomplete and worn silver medieval penny of William I, 'Two stars' type (North 845), probably struck by Godwine at London (1074 - c. 1077 AD). Approximately 70% of the coin survives.

Obverse: Bust facing crowned and diademed between two stars. Obverse inscription: + [P]ILL[ ] [ ].

Reverse: Cross botonnée over quadrilateral with incurved sides; annulet in centre. Reverse inscription: + GO[D][ ].
