Description

Notes: nine men pose beside the road while the horses take a spell. A woman tends to an infant from a wicker picnic basket. A girl is sitting with the woman. The trunk of a large gum tree appears to have initials carved into it. A saddle horse feeds from a nose bag.

Format: albumen photoprint, Photo no. 134 - probably from the Caney Studio

Date Range: c.1885

Location: thought to be at the foot of Blackheath Glen in the Megalong Valley
