Description
English: An Iron Age cast copper-alloy potin of the Kent Region / Cantiaci, dating to the later 2nd century BC, 'Thurrock MA' type. Obverse: Head of Apollo left; reverse: Bull butting right, MA above. As Rudd ABC, p. 33, no. 120; BMC 660-666; VA 1406. There is evidence of corrosion on both the obverse and reverse surfaces, and the remains of the casting sprue is still attached.
