Description
English: An Iron Age cast copper-alloy potin (Thurrock MA type) of the Cantiaci (Kent) / South-Eastern Region, dating to the later 2nd century BC (Reece Period 1). Obverse: Head of Apollo left; reverse: Butting bull right with exergue line beneath. Rudd ABC, p. 33, no. 120; VA 1406. Fragment of the casting sprue is attached and there is corrosion and pitting on both the obverse and reverse surfaces.
