Summary

[edit]
Description

A yellow reptile that turns orangish red - whats not to like in that? This is a common reptile found in rocky areas in South India and in the breeding periods comes out into the opens and exposes itself like this. Come winters, that position is easy prey to raptors and hence its becomes a bit more harder to see this little creature in the open.

I have not seen it in non-breeding plumage, but Wikipedia and other websites mentioned that they are mostly yellow and black normally, but turn this color during breeding periods. I should watch out for them more I suppose.

Thanks in advance for your views and feedback.
