Description

IWO TO, Japan (May 11, 2016) An F/A-18E Super Hornet, attached to the Diamondbacks of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 102, practices a touch-and-go landing during field carrier landing practice at Iwo To, Japan. Formerly known as Iwo Jima, Iwo To is an island roughly 750 miles south of Tokyo used by CVW 5 to conduct yearly fighter pilot training and qualifications.
