Upon examinationof the pelvis tenderness upon pressure is discovered over its anterior wall. Theflexibility of the pelvic bones may be demonstrated by direct pressure, and an DYSTOCIA. Plate 33.

If it ispossible to make a satisfactory internal examination of the pelvis, the lowposition and the projection of the promontory at once attract attention, andthe sharp angulation on the anterior face of the sacrum can be felt.
