Description
English: From Eric Jones' description:

"An African's tomb at Ynyscynhaearn

John Ystumllyn, was kidnapped from West Africa and brought to Pentrefelin as a curiosity by Ellis Wyn, the son and heir of Ystumllyn manor. In a land where everyone had a nickname, John Ystumllyn became known for obvious reasons as Jac Blac. Jac married Margaret Griffith from Trawsfynydd in 1768 and the two had seven children. Employed as a gardener at Ystumllyn he was given on his retirement a small holding by the estate at Nant Hyran, adjoining Cefn meusydd uchaf. Jac Ystumllyn died in 1790 and was buried at Eglwys Ynyscynhaearn churchyard."
