Summary

[edit]
Description

A species of kite quite common across the countryside often seen around small / medium water bodies in India. They often fly over lakes trying to catch fish with their claws or perching on high trees for smaller prey. While they are easy to sight, getting close is matter of luck which doesn't come easily. While we were shooting the Paradise Flycatcher, this male stood on a perch and watched us shoot the flycatcher. It stood there for quite a while and after a couple of shots, just moved on back to the Flycatcher.
