Description
English: A U.S. Navy Douglas A-4E Skyhawk (BuNo 151143) from Attack Squadron 192 (VA-192) "Golden Dragons" on an elevator aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14). VA-192 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 19 (CVW-19) aboard the Ticonderoga for a deployment to the Western Pacific and Vietnam from 19 October 1966 to 29 May 1967.
VA-192 lost a total of eight Skyhawks during this combat cruise. 151143 itself was not hit but struck the ground while on a napalm run on 27 July 1968 while in servie with Marine Attack Squadron 121 (VMA-121).
