Fernando Buitrago, a ramp coordinator with the 70th Aerial Port Squadron, makes a final check with the crew of a Russian Antonov An-124 aircraft before the plane departs Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla., Jan. 21, 2010. The aircraft is being used to help the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) transport a mobile control tower to the Toussanint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to aid earthquake relief efforts. This is the first time an FAA mobile control tower has been loaded into an airplane plane and sent overseas. |
