English: Ampney St. Mary Church. This church is about 1km from the village of the same name, it stands in the middle of fields near the Ampney Brook, just off the A417, between Cirncester & Fairford. It's known locally as the Ivy Church, as it was covered by ivy until restored early in the 20th C. It is famous for the wall paintings. |
