Description Introduced, warm season, annual, hairless, erect to spreading herb, 25–75 cm tall. Basal leaves are pinnatisect, 3–15 cm long with segments elliptic or obovate; upper stem leaves have linear-lanceolate or linear segments; all except uppermost with toothed margins. Flowerheads are umbels 4–7 cm wide; rays 20–40; bracts to 5 cm long, usually 3-fid or pinnatisect, sometimes entire. Petals are about 1.5 mm long and white. Fruit are oblong to ovoid and 1.5–2 mm long. A native of Europe, it is often a weed of cultivated and disturbed land. Livestock grazing this weed may become photosensitive. Largely an environmenal weed, it is invasive in a many natural habitats.
