L'amiante est un minéral en forme de baguette/fibre (bien visible ici). La mauvaise réputation qui lui est faite provient de sa forme et de sa capacité à être inhalé/ingéré lorsqu'il est sous forme de poudre. Il existe de nombreux types d'amiante, mais celle présente ici (la chrysolite) est en faite un type de serpentinite. Nous avons donc à faire à des roches mantelliques métasomatisées (métamorphisme hydrothermal). |
