THE ANNUAL SMALL HOUSE NUMBER EVERY year American Homes and Gardens issues inMay its Annual Small House Number, increasing thenumber of its pages in such issues. The next number there-fore will be devoted to many unusually attractive articleson the subject of small houses. This number, forming asit does a special feature of the years program for thisperiodical, will also give special attention to the smallgarden. The opening article will be adequately illustratedwith many half-tones from photographs of actual housesaccompanied by diagrams of the various floor plans. Thereaders of American Homes and Gardens will find thatthe policy of the magazine in showing actual houses inplace of the architects drawings alone, furnishes the readerwith material of far greater interest than could pos-sibly be derived from reproductions of mere wash draw-ings. Various types of small houses will be pictured and aspecial article will be devoted to the subject of stucco as abuilding material for the small
