The porches, which run along two sides of thi house, are broad and spacious; one end on the main front is inclosed with glass as a sun room; the double porch on the south front—double in the sense of double floor space, and not in height—is ample enough for an outdoor sitting-room, and is a place of wondrous comfort and view-gazing over ch margins everywhere. The house is of wood, shingled throughout, and painted a dull pearl-gray drab.
