A HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE In Five Volumes
Text Appearing After Image:
By WOODROW WILSON, Ph.D., Litt.D., LL.D. President of Princeton Uni'versity. PRESIDENT WOODROW WILSON has devoted the best years of his hfe to the prep- ar^ion of his great work, "A History of the American People," from the earliest times to the'.accession oi President Theodore Roosevelt. The work, which is jnst completed, is monumental in character and scope, represents the genius of the greatest historical writer of the present time, and is written in that delightfully flowing style which translates histor- ical facts into the romance of a nation. It is printed from new type specially cast in 1902. In the matter of illustration, every field of human activity has been searched, and hiindreds upon hundreds of new portraits, prints, maps (in colors), plans, and pictures make the pic- torial features alone tell their wonderful story of the finding of the continent and the birth and growth of what is the United States of America. There is a photogravttre frontispiece to each volume, and portraits in India tint and black. -It is a curious fact that there was not a single complete narrative history of the United States in existence until now. Dr. Wood- row Wilson's is the first. It is bound in dark-blue vellum cloth, leather-stamped, lettered with gold, untrimmed edges, gilt tops, etc. The edition is in five volumes, and the price is $25.00. ^^ I 113 f\ IT ET C D ^^ ^^'^^ send you the entire set of five volumes, charges pre- ^y w IV V^ ■ ■ CIV paid, on receipt of $1.00.
