STANDABD CONSOLIDATION LOCOMOTIVE. CLASS CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILWAY. being placed on the front barrel sheet andthe latter above the firebox. A fire-mans cab, which is of standard designexcept for length, is placed at the rear ofthe firebox. This location of the cabmade some rearrangement of the locationof the air drums, air pump, etc., neces-sary. The Pacific type locomotives on thisroad are all included in the classes Gland G2, which differ from each otherprincipally in the size of the driving-whe«ils, the former having 75-in. wheelsand the latter C9-in., and in the lengthof tubes, the former being 19 ft. 6 ins.long and the latter 20 ft. long.
