m it was asloud as a cannon cracker. The temperature ofthe room was 87°, with no draughts of coldair striking it. I am positive that my handdid not come in contact with it nor did thetube strike any surrounding object. Fortunately the cuts made by the glass werenot deep, tho they were many, and at thiswriting are such that I have left off all gauzedressings. I am not aware of any caseswhere any serious results followed such acci-dents, but I can imagine that the resultsmight be disastrous if this occurred when ray-ing the face if the patient were close to thetube.
