To those actually familiar, in practice,with the fluoroscopic and photographicrevelations of the Roentgen ray, the ex-hibit is still a source of never failingwonder and admiration. But the publicmind, fed by the sensationalism of thedaily press, and satisfied to substitute itsown imaginative processes of what might arteries, its convolutions, greater cent-ers, etc. These results I have never been ableto repeat nor substantiate. And sincenegative evidence, on the basis of diag-nosis by elimination, is often quite asvaluable as affirmative, I reproduce inthese pages an x-ray picture of the liv-ing human skull which, as I believe,represents the highest perfection ofactual accomplishment yet recorded.
