Description Lot 6591-30: American Memorial near Kemmel, Belgium. This memorial, located on the road between Ypres and Kemmel, commemorates the services of the 27th and 30th Divisions with the British Army in this vicinity in August and September 1918. Shown: American Memorial near Kemmel. President Franklin D. Roosevelt Collection-Photograph Album presented by General John J. Pershing, USA (Ret.), Chairman, American Battle Monuments Commission. The photographs in the collection were taken in 1923 to show the memorials erected by the American Battle Monuments Commission. Photographed through Mylar sleeve. (2015/10/09). More information
