Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Railroad through Iran helps speed U.S. war supplies to the Russian front.
In the cab of an Iranian railroad engine are an American, a Russian and a British engineer — railroad men of three nations cooperating to keep the supplies moving.
To speed the flow of military supplies to Russia under the U.S. lend-lease program, American experts have taken over operations of the Persian State Railway, which crosses the mountains and deserts of Iran. Over this 1400-mile railroad, locomotives operated and serviced for most part by Americans haul great quantities of guns, ammunition and other lend-lease supples from Iranian ports on the Persian Gulf to Soviet military bases near the Caspian Sea.
Approved by apropriate U.S. authority. Not for use in British Isles or Western hemisphere.
