Description
Bromide copies of manuscript originals. Sheets numbered 1 (South) and 2 (North). Covers an area of approximately 5 miles radius around Amba Alagi in northern Abyssinia. Portrays hydrology, relief by spot heights, form lines and hachures, roads and tracks, settlements and place names, and includes compilation notes.Creation start date derived from annotation on original map; end date derived from accession stamp.The War Office ledger records the spellings 'Papino' and 'Papiono'; two poorly legible versions on the maps are possibly 'Papini'.
