English: Amateur radio station on Muswell Hill near Brill. The Radio Society of Great Britain organises an annual field day competition. Societies have to set up a temporary radio station, away from their usual premises, and operate it for 24 hours, making as many contacts as possible with other amateur radio stations. The antenna in the photo is from Oxford and District Amateur Radio Society; see their website http://www.g5lo.org.uk/ and the Radio society of Great Britain website http://www.rsgb.org/ . |
