Summary
[edit]DescriptionAmancio Torres Aguilar - Con-Con Delegate.jpg |
English: Amancio Torres Aguilar Sr. of Masbate was the author of the independence of the Philippine
Judiciary during the 1935 Constitutional Convention. He also defended the non abolition of the Department of Labor which at that time was a white elephant of the government, Aguilar said that someday the Filipinos and our country known as the "Pearl of the Orient Seas" can make use of it - now we have the OFW'S. Aguilar suffered a heart attack after delivering his long speech in Spanish and he was immediately brought to the Philippine General Hospital where he died there. After a few days he was brought to Masbate with several known delegates. Aguilar was married to Ocilla Maristela. They have six children, namely; Capitolina, Diogenes, Aristoles, Patria, Danton and Seneca. |
