Description
Deutsch: Veringenstadt, Schwäbische Alb. Westlicher Teil der auf dem großen Gleithang des Lauchert-Durchbruchs liegenden mittelalterlichen Altstadt. Die Altstadt wird von der Lauchert und ihrem baumbestandenen, steilen Prallhang begrenzt.
Die kahle Stelle mit schwarzem Loch ist die ca. 40m über dem heutigen Flussbett liegende "Nikolaushöhle". Im Stadtgebiet sind 34 Höhlen mit Öffnung zur Oberfläche bekannt.
Sichtbarer Teil hinter dem Prallhang: "Lauchertgraben", in welchem die Lauchert nach S fließt.
English: The scenic mediaeval Altstadt of Veringenstadt, Swabian Alb, in the midst of the rocky water gap of river Lauchert. Houses of the Altstadt are crowding together on the embankment of the point bar side of the river.
The black hole in the big woody river-cut bank of the Lauchert is the cave portal of "Nikolaushöhle". The visible part behind the cut bank is the "Lauchertgraben".
