[edit]DescriptionAlte Hopfenpost.tif | Das zentral gelegene Areal der Münchner Hopfenpost in der Hopfenstraße ist Teil der bayerischen Geschichte: Nahe dem Hauptbahnhof wurde von 1905 bis 1912 der umfangreiche Komplex des Bayerischen Verkehrsministeriums mit Zentralbriefamt unter Leitung des bedeutenden Münchner Stadtbaumeisters Hocheder im Stil des Neobarock errichtet. Der in der Nachkriegszeit von der Deutschen Post genutzte Standort erhielt mit der Ergänzung durch die Neue Hopfenpost um 1991 – gebaut als Münchner Paketpostzentrale – eine moderne Komponente. Etwa zehn Jahre später konnte an den früheren Glanz angeknüpft werden, indem der erhaltene Teil des früheren Ministeriumsbaus grundlegend saniert und umgebaut wurde. Heute präsentiert sich das Areal als modernes, repräsentatives Ensemble mit einzigartigem historischen Charme. |
