Description
Italiano: La ex rimessa tranviaria di Altavilla, a sud di Casale Monferrato, risale all'epoca della rete delle tranvie a vapore del basso Piemonte. Adibita da tempo a deposito degli autobus, doveva diventare una sede distaccata del Museo Ferroviario Piemontese. In realtà ben poco del progetto originale si è concretizzato: nel cortile della rimessa sono oggi visibili una locomotiva a vapore tipo T3 con una carrozza ex FNM (in foto), un'altra locotender parzialmente smontata e una carrozza a carrelli. La T3 era arrivata qui fresca di verniciatura, ma il tempo e l'esposizione all'aperto hanno rivestito i mezzi di una patina tra il vintage e il decadente. La rimessa è tuttavia aperta e visitabile senza problemi, e questo lascia un certo fascino al luogo e al suo ispezionarlo, anche nel caldo mezzogiorno di luglio.
