Summary

[edit]
Description

Viola cotyledon Gingins. 20081211.17 Volcan Quetrupillan, Chile alpine flat

There are several species with leaves similar to this. It seems fairly clear to me that the existing literature doesn't come close to describing them all -- look at the Viola spuhs on chileflora.com, for example. The leaves of V. cotyledon are supposed to have cartilaginous white margins, I think these are more "membranous", but I'm calling it that anyway until I see a better key.
