ELBERTON, Ga. Jan. 10, 2014 - Family members eagerly wait to be reunited with their Georgia Guardsmen in as the 1-214th Field Artillery Battalion returns from Afghanistan. The 1-214th FA BN conducted base defense operations in western Afghanistan from May to Dec 2013. The 1-214th was responsible for command and control of all base defense activities in an area covering approximately 315 square kilometers.
