Description

Title page. This first almanack issued after the arrival of the Regent in Brazil in 1808 contains, among much else, a full list of members of official bodies including the hospitals, the Provedoria môr da saude set up in 1809 in place of the Proto-medicato, and the royal physicians and surgeons.
