Kommentar: Miscellanea. Neben Abschlägen vom Stempel in Gold wurden auch Prägungen in Silber hergestellt wie auch Exemplare in Bronze gegossen wurden. - Das Auge der Vorsehung, Gottesauge oder allsehendes Auge gilt als Symbol der Allgegenwart Gottes. Im Alten Testament (Sprüche 15,3) steht 'An jedem Ort sind die Augen des Herrn, sie wachen über Gute und Böse'. Oftmals wird das Auge Gottes auch als Zeichen der Vorsehung gedeutet. Die Medaille wird in der Literatur meistens unter dem Titel 'Allmacht Gottes' oder 'Allwissenheit' Gottes aufgeführt. Der Herstellungsort ist möglicherweise Nürnberg.
