Description |
English: Alluminium cartridge of German origin dated 1940. Length 82mm, diameter 27mm, Weight 64.09g. (weight includes a dark grey deposit within the cartridge). The cartridge is one of three (all similar) found in the same vicinity. The open end is dented but complete. The edge of the closed end is serrated. There is no percussion mark in the centre of the closed end of the cartridge which indicates that it has not been detonated. It has a red painted circumferential band, 9mm in width near the closed end. Between the red band and the open end are words in black painted lettering: |
