Summary
[edit]DescriptionAllonne (Oise) (9645506865).jpg |
The construction of the church began in the twelfth century and ended in the sixteenth century. Romanesque and Gothic styles co-exist. The old gate now blocked, describing a semicircular archway, decorated with tori and whose tympanum is occupied by a crosslinked structure enriched with small circles and diagonal cuts, ornaments so rare in this country, and elegant effect. The chapiters of the tubes which fell from the arcade still appear in the wall. We see above that order two small simple semicircular windows, and height transoms a kind of cornice flat heads and indentations, which rises above each bay and continues throughout the breadth of the facade. |
