Description
English: Allied Irish Bank, Collingwood Street Collingwood Street, named after Lord Collingwood, the hero of Trafalgar, was built by Newcastle Corporation in 1809 to link Cloth Market to Westgate Road and was largely occupied by banks at the end of the C19 http://www.twsitelines.info/Siteline.nsf/SMR/75CA26AB56CC2B12802576AF003E7FA0?opendocument The Allied Irish Bank dates from 1890-91 and was designed by local architect, R.J.
