The one important weakness of Dorsett is the fact that it does not set fruit as persistently as Premier and some of the other varieties. Under adverse con- ditions the blossoms are sometimes killed or weakened so much that the crop is dis- appointing. In those areas where late frosts are common, Premier and Fairfax will be better, but for the latitudes sug- gested, Dorsett is one of the most profit- able early berries we have ever seen. Our early ber- ries did wonderfully although we had a frost after the berries started to ripen and then a hail storm which did some damage, but the berries were wonderful.
