Nederlands: Identificatie Titel(s): Allegorisch vijfkoppige monster Objecttype: prent spotprent Objectnummer: RP-P-OB-77.294 Catalogusreferentie: FMH 1355-b Omschrijving: Allegorisch vijfkoppige en vierpotige monster. Dit gedrocht heeft de koppen van Gierigheid (Avaritia), de gemaskerde Bedrog (Fraus), Oproer (Seditio) en Waan (Opinio). De varkenskop is met een Griekse term aangeduid (Domheid / Stupiditas?). In zijn handen draagt hij attributen van Afgunst (Invidia) en Oorlog (Bellum). Onder zijn voeten vertrapt hij de Onschuld (Innocentia) en Vrede (Pax) en Rechtvaardigheid (Justitia). Met opschriften en onder de plaat een tweeregelig Latijns onderschrift. Vervaardiging Vervaardiger: prentmaker: anoniem Plaats vervaardiging: Nederlanden (mogelijk) Datering: 1575 - 1618 Fysieke kenmerken: gravure Materiaal: papier Techniek: graveren (drukprocedé) Afmetingen: blad: h 245 mm × b 150 mm Toelichting Dit is eerste staat van de prent die later is gebruikt voor de spotprent op de arminianen getiteld Warminiaen (zie FM 1355a).
