One of these is still a watergapand is occupied by Wills Creek, i. e. it is The Xarrows. Theother notch is now the windgap from which Braddock Run has beendiverted (Fig. 7). During this cutting down to the ShenandoahPlain, Jennings Run developed a small subsequent tributary alongthe easy path between Little Allegheny and Wills mountains. Thisstream has in later time developed more rapidly than its olderbrothers, Jennings Run and Braddock Run. This is for the reasonthat it is located along yielding rocks, while the other branches haveto contend with both Pocono and Pottsville sandstones. It is nowthe main stream of Wills Creek.
