Other information

All Saints church > 1692081 - 1692114 dates from the 14th century and is a Grade II listed building. Its south porch is a later addition dating from the 15th or early 16th century, and an extension built onto the north wall and providing modern facilities was completed in 2009. The church houses a number of medieval survivals, amongst them several wall paintings - one depicting St Christopher, another the Annunciation > 1692151. A very rare depiction of a group of women surrounded by three devils, dominated by Titivallus - the Demon of Gossip - is painted on the north nave wall, clearly meant as a warning against gossiping. The rood screen > 1692117 is late C15. The octagonal font > 1692132 is of Purbeck marble and dates from Norman times, whereas the wooden painted cover was added in 1934.
