Description
This is a photo of listed building number 1203363.

English: Ledger stone with inset monumental brass to Sir/Master Thomas Mareys (d.1472), Rector of Stourmouth, Kent. Dressed in academic dress. Floor of chancel of All Saints Church, West Stourmouth, in the civil parish of Stourmouth in Kent, England. Latin inscription: Hic jacet Magister Thomas Mareys, Clericus, nup(er) rector isti eccl(es)i(a)e q(ui) obiit quinto decimo die Decembris anno D(o)m(ini) mill(ensi)mo CCCCo LXXIIo cuius anim(a)e p(rop)icietur Deus amen ("Here lies Sir/Master Thomas Mareys, Clerk, at some time rector of this church who died on the fifteenth day of December in the year of our Lord the thousandth four hundredth seventy second, on the soul of whom may God look with favour amen". At this time the title of priests in English was "Sir", which is not an indication of knighthood.
Camera: Canon EOS 6D with Canon EF 24-105mm F4L IS USM lens.
Software: RAW file lens-corrected, optimized, perhaps cropped, and converted to JPEG with DxO OpticsPro 11 Elite, and likely further optimized with Adobe Photoshop CS2.
